I Can Prophesy - 1 Conrinthians 14

S - 1 Corinthians 14:1 Let love be your highest goal! But you should also desire the special abilities the Spirit gives—especially the ability to prophesy.
O - Paul is instructing the people in how to worship together as a church and the importance of speaking in tongues and prophesying.  The people were to desire the ability to prophesy as well as love.
A - If the people of Corinth were to desire the ability to prophesy, then they all must be able to prophesy if they truly listened to the Spirit.  I am no different than these people in the Bible; I too can prophesy.  Why haven't I in the past?  I truly didn't think that I could or that God would give me this ability.  I desire this ability, not to make my life better but to obey His word and to bring others into His kingdom.
P - God, I come to you today humbled and desiring the ability to prophesy for You and Your kingdom.  I ask that you pour out your Holy Spirit on me and that my heart be open and willing and desiring of your presence.  I want to know your thoughts and do those things that you have called me to do.  I pray that your word would always be near me and in my mind and heart.  And I pray that you would give me the wisdom and tenacity to follow through on everything that you have asked me to do.  I love you Lord and I thank you for speaking ever so clearly into my life today and everyday and guiding me on this decision and every single decision in life.
