God Gives Signs - Judges 7

S - Judges 7:10 But if you are afraid to attack, go down to the camp with your servant Purah. 11 Listen to what the Midianites are saying, and you will be greatly encouraged. Then you will be eager to attack. 15 When Gideon heard the dream and its interpretation, he bowed in worship before the Lord.
O - Gideon was coming against the Mideonites and the Lord had taken hiw army from 32000 and left him with only 300 men. God knew that Gideon was afraid and therefore had him go down to their camp and here he heard men talking about a dream and the interpretation of the dream was that the Israelites were going to destroy the Mideonites. This gave Gideon strength and courage.
A - I am afraid of things from time to time and also need guidence in my life. God is the same today as he was yesterday and will not change, so the strength and courage that Gideon received by a sign from God can and will be the same strength and courage that I will also receive in a sign from God. Gideon was bold enough to ask for a sign when he was originally called to lead the Israelites and God gave him two signs. I think he was bold enough too in this scripture to ask for a sign as well. Because I am a child of God, I too can have this same boldness and expectancy to receive a sign from God.
P - God, you are truly God and the only one worthy of praise. I thank you for your son Jesus Christ and the work, words, and suffering that He did for me and my family and for all mankind. I pray that you give me and my wife a sign; a very vivid and descriptive sign as to how this adoption journey is to unfold and which path we should be taking. Bless our words and actions today and help me to be a man, husband, and father that shows honor and glory to you. Thank you for you eternal presence in my life and for the protection and blessings that you give me and my family daily.
