A Radical Faith - John 21

S - John 21:Then the disciple Jesus loved said to Peter, “It’s the Lord!” When Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he put on his tunic (for he had stripped for work), jumped into the water, and headed to shore.
O - When Peter heard that it was Jesus that was on the shore, he didn't wait to get the fish in the boat, he just jumped into the water and swam in to Him.  This, to me, shows me that Peter had such a desire to be with Jesus and possibly even show Jesus that he was sorry and was pained that he had denied Jesus three times.
A - I need to be like Peter here.  When I think about God and all that He has done for me, I need to be radical and jump out of the boat to be near Him.  The boat may be society's "norm" or people that I am currently in company with and their "norm".  Peter didn't care what the others in the boat thought and I need to have that same mentality when it comes to being a true Christian.
P - God, I come close to you today because of all that you have done for me and for making me your child.  I praise you and thank you for that and I long to be nearer to you every single day.  I pray that you would be not only near me today but that you would guide me today.  Help me to make decisions that are not only good but ones that will increase your kingdom and better my family and me.  I pray that you would protect my household and bring super-natural healing over each and every one of us.  Bless us tremendously, Lord and use me then as a bright and shining light for all the world to see, not for my glory, but for yours!
