Faith Without Works is Dead - James 2

S - James 2:17 So you see, faith by itself isn’t enough. Unless it produces good deeds, it is dead and useless.
O - Faith without works is dead. One can't have true faith without works.
A - Am I living a life full of faith with tangible works? Are people telling me that I have a lot of words but no actions to back up those words? I need to live my life in a way that tangible, noticable actions back up what I say and what I stand for. I need to look for ways to show my faith starting with my wife and my children. They need to know what agape love feels like from me as I will be the best example as to how God really is. I give up rights to take on responsibilities for my wife and children and through this they will see my love and devotion. Outside of my family, I will keep a lookup for people that are in need and give as best I can to show that others are important. Finally, I need to live my life in a way that others can see that my actions marry up with my words.
P - God, I praise you this morning and give you honor and praise! You are amazing! You are all powerful and all knowing! I thank you for the many gifts and blessings that you have showered on my family and me. I ask that you be with us today and give us opportunities to bless others and to show actions that back up our faith. Give me the strength and wisdom to know what you want and to take the first step in getting that done. I pray that you also give me a serving heart, especially toward my wife and children. I want to provide and protect them and to show them that my words are true by the actions that I back them up with. Bless my family and me today.
