Always Speak the Truth - John 18

S - John 18:20 Jesus replied, “Everyone knows what I teach. I have preached regularly in the synagogues and the Temple, where the people[e] gather. I have not spoken in secret.
O - Jesus was being questioned by the high priest on what He was preaching to the people and He answered saying that what He was preaching was no secret. Jesus knew that what He was opening sharing could cause Him harm but He kept preaching and sharing anyway.
A - I will most likely not face harm by sharing and preaching His name and the word of God. However, I may face criticism or laughter. This small amount of "suffering" shouldn't stop me from telling others about Him. I just need to remember Jesus' lead in that He faced death for telling people the truth; I just face minor rejection for telling this same truth.
P - God, you, and you alone, are truly God and worthy of my praise! I thank you for your Son Jesus who paid the ultimate sacrifice so that I may be one of your children. I pray for strength and courage to ALWAYS speak the truth to people even when I may face some criticism or laughter or rejection. Help me to remember your son's real sacrifice for this same truth. Be with my family and me today and guide and bless us.
