Faith Moves Mountains - Matthew 17

S - Matthew 17:²⁰ for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you. ²¹ However, this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting.”

O - Jesus was telling the disciples that the reason they weren't able to cast out the demon was because they lacked faith. Also, some kinds of demons required a larger amount of faith. Faith with prayers and fasting.

A - Jesus' statement was not just for His disciples but also for us. If I truly believe nothing is impossible. With difficult decisions and/or situations that present themselves, like this adoption journey, I know that nothing is impossible for Him. As Jesus said, some require prayer and fasting to really know what and how to move forward.

P - Heavenly Father, You are amazing and have given us the same power that you have. Help me to harness that power and not be afraid to use this and expect that it will work for me as well. Help me to know your path for me and to believe with all of my heart. I want to follow your ways and be a light for your kingdom. Bless my family and me today and bless our adoption journey.
