Love God with Heart, Soul and Strength - Deuteronomy 6

S - Deuteronomy 6:4 “Listen, O Israel! The Lord is our God, the Lord alone.[a] 5 And you must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your strength. 6 And you must commit yourselves wholeheartedly to these commands that I am giving you today. 7 Repeat them again and again to your children. Talk about them when you are at home and when you are on the road, when you are going to bed and when you are getting up. 8 Tie them to your hands and wear them on your forehead as reminders. 9 Write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.
O - The Israelites were to follow the commands of the Lord and talk about them all the time and remind themselves about them frequently. This is because they were to love the Lord with all of their heart, soul and strength.
A - I've read and repeated this verse, "love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your strength", many times. But what does it really mean to love this way? To start with strength, the following verses show what loving with all your strength means. It means to commit wholeheartedly to His commands as this is what we actually can do for Him. It takes a lot of "strength" to repeat them over and over and to talk about them everywhere you go and write them on yourself and your house. To love with all your heart to me means that the love is so overpowering that the one being loved is put in higher regard than even ones self. John 15:13 says "There is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends." And finally, to love with all your soul; what does this mean? I'm not altogether sure on this. My thought is that my soul needs to be so filled with the Holy Spirit that my inner thoughts and feelings are no longer my own but God's. Loving God in these three ways is what I want to do and to teach my children and others around me to do as this will bring peace, joy and wisdom into my life daily and it will impact others for His kingdom. P - God, I am so sorry for the times that I have not loved you with all my heart, soul and strength. I thank you for your forgiveness and I ask for your wisdom and understanding to be flowing through me every single minute of everyday so that I can think and be more like you. Help me to talk about you more often and more opening to not only my family but to also those around me that I think don't know you. I pray for your healing power over this house and everyone in it and I pray for your blessings as well.

God is God - Deuteronomy 4

S - Deuteronomy 4:39 “So remember this and keep it firmly in mind: The Lord is God both in heaven and on earth, and there is no other.
O - Moses is commanding the people to follow God's commands and to remember everything that He did for them while in Egypt and the desert. This sums up who God is though, that He is so powerful that He can sit on His throne in heaven while at the same time here on earth with us. There is no other God.
A - I have much joy in knowing that God is a God that cares enough to be on earth with me and my family. This is truly no other god in this world that can match God. I am so very blessed to be one of His children and I will do everything in my power to help my children and grandchildren to understand who God is and to become one of His children as well.
P - God, I love you! Thank you for always being with me and blessing, healing and protecting me. I pray that you would give me strength, wisdom and discernment in teaching my children, especially when I teach them your ways and about your goodness. I pray that you would make their hearts open to you and that they will let you in and allow you to be their savior as well. Thank you for all that you have done for my family and for me and for the healing that is coming on each and every one of our bodies today.

God Will Fight For Me - Deuteronomy 1

S - Deuteronomy 1:29 “But I said to you, ‘Don’t be shocked or afraid of them! 30 The Lord your God is going ahead of you. He will fight for you
O - Moses is recounting the Israelites journey to the promised land and he came to the part where he sent the spies in and all the people became afraid of the report that was brought back to them. Moses encouraged the people with this passage above saying the Lord will fight for them.
A - When I face challenges and obstacles in life I can have this same level of confidence that the Israelites had but didn't lean on. God is on my side and He will go ahead of me and will fight for me. All that He asks of me in return is the tithe and that I give me life to Him. Thank God that He is willing to do this for me. Because of Him nothing can stop me.
P - God, You are amazing and you are so worthy of praise. I pray today for clarity on what you want us to do in the future. We are walking down the path that you have so delicately laid out before us and have orchestrated an amazing chain of events to get us where we are today. I pray for your wisdom and discernment, Lord. I also pray for your constant and continual healing power to be on each and everyone of us in this house. By the blood of Jesus, we are healed and free from every sickness and disease. Be with me and my family today and bless us in all that we do and go ahead of us and fight for us.

Thank, Don't Complain - Exodus 16

S - Exudus 16:10 And as Aaron spoke to the whole community of Israel, they looked out toward the wilderness. There they could see the awesome glory of the Lord in the cloud.
O - The Israelites are complaining to Aaron and Moses about how little they have to eat. Moses tells them that they are complaining about the Lord not about Moses and Aaron. The people continue to complain and blame Moses for the lack of food. Then when God brings them food, there is still complaining. Aaron then talked to them and in the verse above it says the people looked toward the wilderness where they could see the awesome glory of the Lord in the cloud. How could these people doubt and complain to God when He placed that cloud and fire by them every single day?
A - I too at times forget how great God is and how he provides, protects, and heal every single day. He has shown me time and time again how blessed we are and how health comes into this house and yet, just like the Israelites, I question and doubt whether He is helping. I decide today to remember how good God is to me and my family and stop questioning why things aren't better or am not content with my life.
P - God, I am so sorry for acting the way I did yesterday to you and to my wife and children. I thank you for your forgiveness and ask that you would help me to act more in line with the faith that I have. I am also sorry for not always being content with me life or questioning why you aren't providing more for us. You have given us everything and it is completely wrong of me to act in this way. I thank you today for all that you have done and continue to do for me and my family. I pray today for your healing power to be all over this house and my family. Your body and blood that was shed for us is the healing that we cling to and know that it will completely and quickly heal us 100%. I love you Lord!

God is With Me - Exodus 3

S - Exodus 3:11 But Moses protested to God, “Who am I to appear before Pharaoh? Who am I to lead the people of Israel out of Egypt?” 12 God answered, “I will be with you."
O - Moses is at the burning bush and the Lord has told him to go to Egypt and tell Pharaoh to let His people go. Moses wonders why he is supposed to go and why Pharoah would let the people go. God's simple answer is that He will be with Moses.
A - Because God is always with me like He was with Moses, I too am able to do bigger and better things than I may think I am able. I don't need to hesitate or question what will happen as God is more powerful and knowing than anything or anyone else. I am protected and blessed because He is with me. I don't need to fear because He is by my side.
P - God, I praise and thank you for always being with me. I pray that you continue to give me strength and peace and the ability to go out and accomplish what you have called me to do. Thank you for the healing power that is all over my family. Bless this little girl and let her breathing and intestines heal quickly and completely. I thank you for the power and healing of the body and blood of Jesus Christ that makes all things new. I also pray for healing over Christa and my children that they would be free from any aches and pains and any sicknesses or diseases. Be with me and my family today and everyday and I pray that you would bless us tremendously.

Do Not Condemn - Romans 14

S - Romans 14:13 So let’s stop condemning each other. Decide instead to live in such a way that you will not cause another believer to stumble and fall.
O - This whole chapter is about some people doing certain things while others live in a different way but each is doing it to the Lord and because of that neither is right or wrong. Paul encourages us to stop condemning others for living a way differently than we do.
A - I need to be reminded of this every minute of every day. Even the little smiles or look on my face shows this condemning spirit and not only is a sin against God but hurts the other person that sees this. I give this condemning spirit to God and live free from this!
P - God, I pray for your forgiveness Lord for the times that I have openly or secretively condemned someone else. I leave that in your hands and want to live a life that is pleasing to you. Be with my family and me today and bless us and protect us. I pray for healing to be on each one of us.

Love - Romans13

S - Romans 13:9 For the commandments say, “You must not commit adultery. You must not murder. You must not steal. You must not covet.” These—and other such commandments—are summed up in this one commandment: “Love your neighbor as yourself.”
O - All of the commandments are summed up by loving your neighbor as yourself.
A - Am I loving my neighbor as myself? Am I loving my wife and my children as I love myself. I need to continue to remind myself of the passage that there is no greater love than to lay down one's life for those you love. I can take it even further and say there is no greater love than to lay down one's life for everyone. That is the way that I want and need to live. I want to live a life of love always.
P - God, I love you more than anyone or anything else in this world. I thank you for your son Jesus Christ and the ultimate sacrifice that He gave for me. Help me to always walk in love everyday. Guide me through this day and give me strength, wisdom and courage to do the right things. I praise you Heavenly Father! Thank you for the blessings, protection, and healing that you are placing on everyone in my family.

Follow God Not Sinful Nature - Romans 8

S - Romans 8:6 So letting your sinful nature control your mind leads to death. But letting the Spirit control your mind leads to life and peace. 7 For the sinful nature is always hostile to God. It never did obey God’s laws, and it never will. 8 That’s why those who are still under the control of their sinful nature can never please God.
O - Everyone has two options in life: Follow the sinful nature or follow the Holy Spirit. By following the sinful nature and letting that control the mind it not only leads to death but is also hostile to God and the person can not please God. However, letting the Holy Spirit control the mind brings about peace and life and this pleases God.
A - I have a daily, even an every second, decision to make; Should I follow my sinful nature or should I follow God? Sometime this decision is very apparent but other times it's almost subconsious because I may have done this some many times before. I constantly need to be on guard and think through my choices. Additionally, I just need to surrender my life completely to Him and let Him guide me. This just takes a bit of waiting at times for His still small voice. I need to do this always, not just when I think of it or it is a large decision that I can tell is between my sinful nature and God. I choose to surrender my life to God!
P - God, I come to you today and I thank you for your Son that you sacrificed for me and I am sorry for the times that I haven't lived a life that shows this appreciation and thankfulness. I pray that you would guide me throughout this day and every day and help me to make these decisions of which path I will take. I also pray for your protection and your healing power to be on me and my entire household. I specifically pray that Christa and this little girl would feel your healing power quickly. I know that you are the healer and I stand on your promises and the body and blood of Jesus Christ. I praise you Heavenly Father! I love you and surrender my life to you.

Faith Brings Privilege - Romans 5

S - Romans 5:2 Because of our faith, Christ has brought us into this place of undeserved privilege where we now stand, and we confidently and joyfully look forward to sharing God’s glory.
O - Faith is what has brought man to God and brought this privilege of life and eternal life to man.
A - Faith and faith alone is what has brought me into God's presence. Because of God's sacrifice of His own son, I was able to place my faith in His death and sacrifice and now be in privilege and look forward to eternal life with God.
P - God, I thank you for the sacrifice that you gave with you only son and the ability for me now to be by your side. Help me to remember that it is not because of me that I have you but only because of you. Help me to realize that without you in any area of my life I would flounder around and you give the wind beneath my wings. I pray that you would protect me today as I travel to work and that you would also protect my wife and children. Give each one of us health, especially my wife and this little girl. Heal them quickly and fully Lord. Speak to me to let me know if we are going down a wrong path and stepping outside of your will. I love you and praise you Lord.

Checking My Motives - Romans 4

S - Romans 4:5 But people are counted as righteous, not because of their work, but because of their faith in God who forgives sinners.
O - Faith without works is dead. However, it is not the works that are counted as rigtheousness. Instead it is the faith which then produces the works. This is a very fine line in my mind. We do things that other people can see and say something like "Wow, they have a lot of faith!" However, there is a way to also do things that are done with a wrong heart trying to prove something to someone.
A - My actions need to be reviewed daily. Am I doing something because of my faith in God or am I doing something to prove something to others or show that I am a good person. I need to be ever aware of my reasons for doing something and the only right reason for doing something is to show God my love and appreciation for Him. This adoption is that; God has asked us to take care of the orphans and widows and I want to honor and serve Him by doing just that. He has said whatever you do for the least of these, you do for me. I want to serve God because all of what He has done for me!
P - God, I pray that you look into my heart and tell me if I'm doing something for the wrong reason. I pray that you give my your eyes and your understanding to truly know that my actions are those done to serve, honor, and praise you. I believe that you are the ture and only God and that you have poured out everything for me. I just want to pour out everything that I have as well and serve you with everything that I have and everything that I am. I pray that you would bless my family and me today and that you would bring healing to this little girl and remove the aches, pains, and sickness that Christa is experiencing. You have promised health and healing in your word and I just cling to that and expect that to happen quickly. I love you Lord! Thank you for all that you have done for me and continue to do for me.

Faith that People Talk About - Romans 1

S - Romans 1:8 Let me say first that I thank my God through Jesus Christ for all of you, because your faith in him is being talked about all over the world.
O - Paul is writing to the Romans and thanking God for these people and their faith which is being talked about all over the world. In order for their faith to be talked about all over the world, they must have been saying and doing some pretty amazing things and/or had their lifestyles change so dramatically that it was noteworthy enough to talk about. Because faith without works is dead.
A - I must ask myself, are people talking about my faith all over the world? Am I doing and saying things that are so noteworthy that people pay attention to it and talk to others about it? I need to live a life that is so very different than how the world is living to have people take notice of my faith and ultimately, my God. This is not so that I can get some sense of accomplishment or recognition but instead that it would shine a light on Jesus. With all of this said though, this does not mean that I remove myself from this world and make it so that I can't relate to anyone nor impact anyone's life, it means instead that I live in the world but am not of the world.
P - God, I praise you this morning for all that you do and have done for my family and me. I thank you for bringing my family home safe from their trip and I continue to pray for their and my protection. Help me to live a life that shows my faith in a very real and apparent way so that others around me notice a difference and seek out this difference, which is you. I ask for your wisdom and your understanding so that I can live in the world and impact the world but also see and avoid those traps and dangers of this world. Lord, I pray a blessing over my children and over Christa. Give them all 100% health and bodies that function perfectly. Lord, I want to serve you today and everyday!
