S - Proverbs 26:12 - Do you see a man wise in his own eyes?
There is more hope for a fool than for him.

O - A fool is someone in this chapter that is talked about a lot in an extremely negative light.  He is said to have no honor due to him.  However, in this verse the Proverb is saying that the fool has more hope than the person that sees himself as wise in his own eyes.

A - It is good to be confident in who I am and believe that I can do things put out in front of me, but if I think I am wise or better than others, I have become a fool or even worse than a fool.  My wisdom and ability all come from God and without Him I would be nothing.  Praise the Lord that he has blessed me.  I want to use His blessings not to boast or puff up but instead to bless others.

P - Heavenly Father, You alone are wise and you alone are worthy of praise and honor.  Help me to remember daily that everything that I am that is good has come from you and that I should use those gifts for your glory and honor.  Help me to uplift, encourage and bless those around me and to never hold myself higher than other people.  Help me to be a beckon of hope and a light for others to see you and find you.

S - Proverbs 15:26 The thoughts of the wicked are an abomination to the Lord,
But the words of the pure are pleasant

O - Thoughts of the wicked are what is judged by the Lord where as the words of the pure are judged by the Lord.  There is a different standard in how the Lord judges the pure versus the wicked.  Out of the heart the mouth speaks...In order for the words of the pure to be pleasant the heart and thoughts are also pleasant.

A - I need to have me heart pure.  If I say things that are not pleasant that just shows that my heart is also not pure.  I can't fool myself into saying that I just slipped when I say something wicked; it was already in my heart like that.  I am to be the light that the world and those around me are looking for so I'm going to make sure that my heart is filled with Him and that my thoughts are pure.

P - Heavenly Father, Help me today to have pure thoughts and to think on you throughout my day.  I long to be with you and to have a relationship that is so strong, so intimate, and so intense that I hunger for you all day long.  Thank you for all that you have done for me!  I can't never say that enough.

S - Proverbs 11:2 - When pride comes, then comes shame;
But with the humble is wisdom.

O - Pride produces shame, however, wisdom comes from being humble.  Humble does not mean belittling myself but instead by acknowledging that others may know more than me and being willing and humble enough to listen to them.

A - In my work, parenting, and in being a spouse I need to acknowledge that I am not the expert in everything and that I can benefit from other people that have more experience and knowledge in a particular area than I do.  Once I acknowledge, then the next step is for me to listen.  Once I listen, then the next step is to seek out individuals that have that experience and knowledge. 

P - Dear Heavenly Father, forgive me for the times that I have been prideful and do not think I need anyone else's opinions or thoughts.  I acknowledge that you are the only one with true wisdom and understanding in every area in life.  I ask for your guidance and also that you place other individuals in my path that I can learn from, learn true godly wisdom.  I love you and praise you today.

God is My Protector - Psalm 64

S - Psalm 64:10 The godly will rejoice in the Lord
    and find shelter in him.
And those who do what is right
    will praise him.
O - David was lamenting over the fact that his enemies were planning and anticipating an attack on him and other innocent people.  However, God is there to protect them and to show all the world that He alone is God.  Those that know Him will then rejoice in Him, praise Him, and find shelter or protection from Him.
A - Today is not unlike David's time.  There are physical attacks being planned against me and my household and also spiritual attacks.  I too can rest assured that God is my protector, my healer, and my savior and that He will be my shelter and my rock that I can lean on.  Because of Him, I am free and can do what He has called me to do and that I will be able to live a long life on this earth as He has promised.  This not only goes for me but for everyone in my household!  God is so good!  I praise Him and thank Him for all, every single thing, that He has done and will continue to do in my life and in the life of everyone in my household. 
P - God, have your way in me and use the times of struggle in our lives for your glory.  I am so very excited to be able to proclaim your goodness from the housetops as Hannah is completely healed.  I will give you all the glory and all the credit for this healing and this will bring others closer to you.  You have called us to be in her life for exactly this time and I pray that you will not tarry with this healing but that it too will be SUDDENLY!  I pray for your continued protection, healing, and blessing over my life and over my entire family today.  Use all of us; every single word that we speak today to advance your kingdom.  In Jesus' name I pray.  Amen

Endure Temptations - James 1

S - James 1:¹² God blesses those who patiently endure testing and temptation. Afterward they will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him.
O - There will be tests and temptations throughout life, however, God will bless those that endure these and at the end of life they will receive the crown of life.  The last phrase also mentions that we need to love Him, not just endure the tests and temptations to receive the crown of life.
A - I need to first of all be aware of these tests and temptations and then steer clear of them.  By doing this I will be doing what God has commanded.  However, if I stop there I am only doing half of what James is saying here.  The other half and probably the more important half is that I love Him.  I need and want to love God with everything that is in me.  I will unashamed love God and wear this love on my sleeve for others to see.
P - Heavenly Father, I pray for your help and guidance today as I go through my day.  Guide me through the tests and temptations that may come against me.  I love you and want to show you and others through my thoughts, words, and actions each and every day.  Bless my family and me today and keep my extended family near you and protected as well.  To God be the glory!!!

Boldly Enter God's Presence - Hebrews 10

S - Hebrews 10:²¹ And since we have a great High Priest who rules over God’s house, ²² let us go right into the presence of God with sincere hearts fully trusting him. For our guilty consciences have been sprinkled with Christ’s blood to make us clean, and our bodies have been washed with pure water.
O - The writing has been explaining who the priests had offered sacrifices to God in the Old Testament and how only the High Priest could enter into the Most Holy Place, which was when the presence of God was at.  However, since Jesus became the High Priest and made the ultimate sacrifice, we now can boldly go into the presence of God and fully trust Him.
A - God already knows my wants, needs, and desires and because of the sacrifice of Jesus, I can boldly go into God's presence and ask of Him what I need.  More importantly though, I can just fellowship with Him and have a pure relationship with Him.  This relationship should be the most important relationship in all of my life.  I just need to remember that without Jesus, I wouldn't be able to have this relationship with God as God can not be in a relationship with a sinner.  Thank you Jesus!
P - Heavenly Father I come to you today and spend time with you and bask in your goodness and your glory.  I pray that you continue to pour out your love on me and my family.  Help me to show your goodness and your love to my family so that they can see you through me.  Bless our day today and I pray for protection over my family and especially over Christa as she is nearing delivery.  I love you God!

Delivered From Every Evil Attack - 2 Timothy 4

S - 2 Timothy4:¹⁸ Yes, and the Lord will deliver me from every evil attack and will bring me safely into his heavenly Kingdom. All glory to God forever and ever! Amen.
O - God will protect me from evil attacks and finally bring me to heaven.  Praise God!
A - When I am going through times that seem tough and possibly attacks from the evil one, this is a verse that I can stand on and have great confidence in whom I serve.  He will protect/deliver me from EVERY evil attack.  This doesn't say that He will not let any evil attacks come against me; but that He would deliver me from these.  These attacks may cause my character to be enhanced or my faith to be boosted when I am delivered from them, but I need to remember that I always will be delivered by God from these attacks.  Praise the Lord!  He is so good!
P - God, I praise and thank you for you are so good.  I rest assured in your promise that you will deliver me and my family from the evil attacks.  I pray that you would deliver this little girl from the evil attacks of this sickness; and that you deliver her very quickly.  We stand on the promise that you also heal us by the stripes of Jesus.  Bless my day today and let it be spent wisely and on purpose.
